What is your heritage/tribal affiliation?
Cherokee

What or who has been your biggest cultural influence and what would you like people to know about your culture?
My biggest cultural influence in the Rochester area is the Indigenous Music and Arts Festival at Ganondagan. I enjoy attending and participating in the festival as a way of celebrating my heritage.

What would you like people to know about your culture?
One thing I would like people to know about my culture is that we honor and treasure the land like it is our mother because without the land, we wouldn’t be able to survive.

What is your favorite indigenous dish?
My favorite dish is either the three sisters salad or fry bread tacos.

Do you have any resources to share with someone who would like to learn more about your culture?
An amazing resource is Ganondagan – a historic site in Victor, NY that educates on the traditions and customs of the Seneca peoples who lived in the area during the 17th century.

What is a fun fact about yourself?
I have two hairless cats, Kallista and Lyra.
